Dubrovnik Winter Festival
Date: 30 November 2024 - 6 January 2025
Dubrovnik hosts a very event-filled Winter Festival which starts at the beginning of December through into early January. The Festival includes a Christmas Fair – with traditional Christmas sweet treats and drinks, plus little trinkets on sale – carols and other fun concerts; gastro events (watch out for traditional Dalmatian Christmas dish bakalar – cod – being offered); kids’ events and events involving Santa!
As part of the Winter Festival, there are of course also New Year’s Eve celebrations which are centered around the main thoroughfare in Dubrovnik, Stradun. Celebrations include a free live concert to see in the New Year as well as fireworks.

Night of the Museum

Museums, galleries and other similar institutions open their doors to the public, for free, from 6 pm to 1 am.
Festivity of St Blaise
Date: 2 February - 5 February 2025
Saint Blaise festivity is a multi-day celebration dedicated to Dubrovnik patron saint. St. Blaise has been praised in Dubrovnik since the year 972, and the celebration is even registered in UNESCO’s register of intangible heritage. It features several concerts, exhibitions and religious events, such as procession with the saint’s relics on the Stradun. The day of the festivity itself, February 3, is the unique occasion to see the locals all dressed up in traditional folk costumes.

Dubrovnik Carnival
Date: February 2025 (date to be announced)
Dubrovnik's take on carnival is as unique as the city itself. It is marked by merriment, a masked parade and enjoyment of the city's best assets: wine, food, music and atmosphere. The event lasts for several days, which much of the program being dedicated to children. The masked and costumed carnival parade occurs on the last day and takes over the whole town center when for those taking part in the parade to satirically make a comment of actual political and social events.

Mediterranean Fair of Healthy Food, Medicinal Herbs and Green Entrepreneurship
Date: 11 March - 15 March 2025
This fair is always a great opportunity to taste and purchase some authentic home-grown delicacies from Croatia and the wider region. Orientation of the fair is aimed at raising consciousness of healthy food, ecological standards, sustainable development, and balance between the nature, economy and people. This is to be achieved through education in lectures, workshops, round tables and scientific congress meetings.

The Oyster Festival
Date: 15 March 2025
Oysters are one of the greatest specialties of the Southern Dalmatian coast, particularly those from the village Mali Ston, just north of Dubrovnik. March is the time when these culinary aphrodisiacs are at their tastiest and plumpest.
A treat for anyone with even the slightest interest in gastronomy, this four-day celebration of the sea is begun by the oyster farmers in the village of Mali Ston, transported on traditional carts and then displayed all along the Stradun, Dubrovnik’s answer to a main street.

Street Food Festival Bavarin 2025

In the very heart of Dubrovnik, in the wonderful historical ambience of the Lazaret, the street food festival "Bavarin" is held, which offers food from the best local chefs and restaurants through six restaurants, with menus adapted for everyone - from burgers, plant-based dishes, to the best fish street food delicacies up to the most delicious desserts. Folklore ensemble Linđo

Starting from May throughout the summer until October, the folklore ensemble Linđo will be having its lively and interesting performances. Make sure you attend at least one, you will be amazed by the dancing skills of the young people who thus cherish their cultural heritage.

Le Petit Festival du Théâtre

Le Petit Festival du Théâtre is a non-profit festival, a community of art and science dreamers from around the world, and a showcase for art and science lovers & patrons from all over our "blue planet". This is a small festival, but a special and distinctive cultural event in which artists represent and artistic talents from around the world. Festival every year raises the curtain revealing creations carefully selected and talented artists whether they are poets, actors, dancers, or something else.

Festival "Ana in Town"

The festival "Ana in Town" celebrates a young artist, a cellist with a recognizable musical style, Ana Rucner in a double role as classical musician and crossover instrumentalist. A fantastic concert at the dawn of the first day of summer and World Music Day on June 21st is an exceptional artistic event and unique view and experience of sunrise at the top of the Srđ Mountain.

Midsummer Scene

Midsummer Scene is a renowned theatre festival in English that uses one of the most beautiful and most evocative stages on the continent, the fortress of Lovrijenac in Dubrovnik, to put on world-famous Shakespeare plays through the collaboration of English and Croatian theatre artists. Festival coincides with the beginning of summer and, following the centuries-old Dubrovnik tradition of open-air theatre, all shows are performed under the stars.

International opera arias festival "Tino Pattiera"
Date: June - July 2025
This festival was named in honor of world-famous opera singer, tenor Tino Pattiera, who was famous in opera houses in Europe and around the world in the first half of the 20th century. He was the leading singer at the Royal Saxon Court Opera in Dresden and member of the Berlin State Opera. The festival brings great opera arias to Dubrovnik and presents the works of the most prominent opera composers performed by renowned international opera stars.

International Late Summer Music Festival Dubrovnik

As a continuation of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Dubrovnik Symphonic Orchestra started the Dubrovnik International Late Summer Music Festival, which takes place from the end of August to the middle of September. During the festival, renowned Croatian and international artists perform well-known musical pieces from different periods in the town’s Rector’s Palace. The harmony of the music and the magical atmosphere in which the festival takes place will delight all music and art enthusiasts.

Stradun Classic

Renowned Croatian clarinetist Marija Pavlović, together with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and top musicians from all over the world, founded the new festival "Stradun Classic" in 2018. It is a top chamber music festival that brings together successful musicians from all over the world.

Dubrovnik Film Festival

The Idea for a youth festival arose from the desire to bring out the hidden and anonymous endeavours of the enthusiast young film maker so that they may enter the public eye and in this way gain recognition. By initiating the festival, we wish to offer a helping hand to individuals, schools and youth associations who work on media culture to achieve their five minutes of fame.

Good food festival

The Good Food Festival features numerous presentations of culinary specialities typical of the Dubrovnik area, regional wine tasting, culinary workshops, attractive events such as 'Dinner with a famous chef', workshops dedicated to preparing typical Dubrovnik dishes, culinary tours, and numerous other surprises for all gourmets. The highlight of the Good Food Festival is the famous Dubrovačka trpeza, or Dubrovnik Table, that features a long table along the entire main street of Stradun, where many Dubrovnik hotels, restaurants, pastry makers and caterers will present their skills and creations.

The festival gathers many excellent jazz musicians and provides visitors with an unforgettable live experience. Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to various styles of jazz music, from traditional to more contemporary performances, and to enjoy the ambiance.
